Art

As a student at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, Megan studied Art and Religion.  Primarily focusing on sculpture, Megan has published photography, commercially designed CDs, books and posters in addition to installing, creating and commissioning murals and garden sculptures.


Below are some of the notable projects that Megan has worked in the past couple of years.


Zanderology - An Illustrated Documentary:

This film is an illustrated documentary about Zander Keig, a trans man who was born dead, paralyzed at age six, put in a mental hospital as a teen, was in a Mexican gang, joined the military, became an undercover drug officer, obtained three graduate degrees and is now a social worker for homeless veterans. Zanderology goes beyond telling people that it gets better and humorously explains how one person changed their life in almost every way possible. Megan won the Accolade Global Film Competition's Award of Merit (for artistic and technical films) in the Gay/Lesbian/Trans category for this film.  Zanderology was accepted into the Gender Reel and Grace Film Festivals in Durham, NC, Minneapolis, MN, Long Beach, CA, Philadelphia, PA and San Francisco, CA.

Transforming Graffiti:

Before

Seeking to prevent graffiti at community sites, Megan has been transforming graffiti into art that fits the space.  Primarily seeking to make sites safer, Megan has also experimented with themes that and images that help prevent future graffiti.  See samples of some of Megan's transformations below:
